About me
Hi, my name is Cristal Rojas. I’ve been a photographer all my life and didn’t know it until I was well in my 20s! When I was 7 yrs old I showed signs of wanting to express my perspective visually. For example, I used to cut the images out of books, then rearrange them and create my own fictional story. I later on moved on to sketching, and then finally photography. Currently while working as a full time professional photographer, I realize I’m at my happiest when I tap in to my inner child and create worlds with colorful narratives, and then welcome people in them.
I want to provide a safe creative space for children that similar to me have the urge to express themselves visually. I was a quiet kid, but inside my head existed a beautiful story in everyday things we generally tend to overlook.
With the launch of The School of Creative Snaps, I’ve condensed all my favorite creative lessons into two in-person programs for both younger kids and older kids. Every photography lesson is designed to inspire and excite your child.
I am also a mom to a 10 year old, who loves the editing process of photography, and who reminds me everyday that the world is full of wonder, art, and surprises.
